This week, the KINGREAL STEEL  SLITTER team completed a rigorous inspection of a steel coil slitting machine destined for a project in Uzbekistan.

As the client from Uzbekistan was unable to visit the factory in person due to scheduling constraints, the inspection was conducted by a team of senior KINGREAL STEEL  SLITTER engineers, in accordance with an agreement between both parties.

Committed to ensuring the quality of every piece of steel coil slitting line that leaves our facility, KINGREAL STEEL  SLITTER performed comprehensive performance testing and parameter verification on the slitting machine, strictly adhering to international acceptance standards.

Steel Coil Slitting Machine Testing Procedures and On-Site Notes

It should be noted that, because a high-performance steel coil slitting machine requires a deep foundation pit (a "loop pit") to buffer the tension of the steel strip during operation—and given that the current factory floor does not allow for the excavation of a temporary pit—this phase of the inspection focused on "dry-run" (no-load) testing, mechanical condition assessments, and the verification of precision in core components.

This ensures that the steel coil slitting line will be ready for immediate production once it arrives at the client’s site and the foundation has been properly prepared.

1. Inspection of External Condition and Paint Finish

The first step of the inspection involved a detailed examination of the steel coil slitting line’s external physical condition. Engineers verified that the paint color matched the client’s custom specifications and carefully inspected the frames, protective panels, and control console surfaces for any scratches, rust, or impact damage that might have occurred during assembly or handling.

For equipment like a steel coil slitting machine—which operates in a heavy industrial environment—a high-quality paint finish is not merely an aesthetic requirement; it is essential for preventing oxidation and extending the equipment's service life.

2. No-Load Operational Testing

Once the electrical and hydraulic systems were connected, the KINGREAL STEEL  SLITTER team tested the steel coil slitting machine in both manual and automatic modes:

Manual Mode Testing: Using the individual buttons on the control panel, KINGREAL STEEL  SLITTER engineers triggered each of the steel coil slitting line’s actuating components one by one.

For instance, individual "jog" (inching) tests were performed on the expansion/contraction functions of the decoiler, the rotation of the main slitter’s cutter shafts, the lifting/lowering mechanisms of the tension station, and the winding operation of the waste collection device. These tests were designed to verify the operational responsiveness of each individual component and the accuracy of its electronic control feedback.

Automatic Mode Testing: Upon activating the automatic mode, the entire steel coil slitting line began a simulated, synchronized operation. We focused on the stability of the production line during high-speed operation, checking for any abnormal noises or mechanical interference between the various components.

The acceptance process covered all critical components of the steel coil slitting line—including the decoiler, tension station, main slitter, waste collection device, and recoiler—to ensure that the coordination logic across the entire line met the specified design requirements.

3. Verification of Technical Parameters for Core Components

Following this, the acceptance process moved into a phase of precision measurement. The KINGREAL STEEL SLITTER team conducted on-site measurements of the key technical parameters for this steel coil slitting line:

Verification of Shaft Diameters: Precision calipers were used to measure the diameters of the expansion/contraction shafts on both the decoiler and the recoiler, ensuring that their load-bearing capacity meets the steel coil weight and inner diameter standards specified by the client in Uzbekistan.

Main Slitter Setup Test: As the core of the steel coil slitting line, the main slitter underwent a tooling setup demonstration. By physically mounting the cutting blades and spacers onto the shafts, KINGREAL STEEL  SLITTER engineers verified the surface finish of the shafts and the smoothness of the tooling assembly process—factors that directly influence the cutting precision of the steel strips during future operation.

Upon completion of all the aforementioned inspection steps, KINGREAL STEEL  SLITTER compiled a comprehensive package for the steel coil slitting line, including test-run videos, high-resolution detailed photographs, and a full report of the acceptance data.

All acceptance documentation has now been sent via email to the client in Uzbekistan for their final review. KINGREAL STEEL  SLITTER strictly adheres to a defined service protocol: we only initiate the dismantling, anti-rust packaging, and container loading/shipment of the steel coil slitting machine once we have received formal Shipping Authorization from the client.

This rigorous acceptance process is designed to bridge the trust gap inherent in cross-border procurement, ensuring that the steel coil slitting machine arrives in optimal working condition.
